If you are talking about the credit you earn for a course, the answer is no. A credit hour, though, is the same as one credit.

For example, on a semester system, the credit you earn for a course is usually about 3 credit hours. A credit hour is used to determine the cost of a course. I've been out of school for awhile, so I'm not sure of the cost per credit hour these days. But let's say a credit hour is $100. That means a course where you earn 3 credit hours will cost you $300 in tuition, not including academic/athletic fees, books and whatever else it costs to go to school.

yes it is. your standard class will be three credit hours. each hour is a credit. it has nothing to do with how much time you spend in class though. each class is weighed differently. some classes will be four credit hours and some will be three. with that being said, one credit = one credit hour.
