i have a few albino african clawed frogs and i hear you can teach them to eat from your hand and pet them and all sorts of things but mine runs and hides when i open the lid how do get them to trust me

he is totally aquatic so taking him out of the tank is not an option but i will try to give him live food

I'm not sure how I can get them to trust you but you can try this :)

Dont make sudden movements. Watch your fingers, our classroom foggies bit a kid once because he was screwing around...

If you just let him see you from outside the tank for a while, he should become trusting. Let him know you're the food provider. Are you feeding him live food? They love that :)

Remember, no sudden movements. It scares them because in the wild, they're prey...

well how long have you had the frogs?
are they new?
they could be scared and just getting used to the new place
give it around a week
and as for the feeding of hands
just let it know YOU are the food provider

before i feed my fish( i know not frogs)
i always sit and watch them for about 5 mins
open the lid just to drop in the food and close it
so they know when the lid is open its food time
then watch while they eat
