We watched a movie about Black History and Martin Luther King Jr. and they had a couple of clips about the KKK with there pointed hats on. How has the Klan died down a little and how did it start?

any way, to answer your question it depends on which kkk u wanna kno about, past or present.
the historic kkk started out as a group of people who didnt want blacks to have any power(to vote or take office etc)
they burned houses and hung blacks
-2day the kkk an organization supporting white pride, and against racial mixing between ANYBODY. well at least the "main" branch. there are other, smaller organizations calling themselves the kkk in america. (last i checked, the last lynching wasnt for a WHILE)

The KKK is Diabolical, Wicked, Perverted Mind. Our Nation shouldn't tollerate it's growth or mentality.
They are a poison and likened to a modern day serial killer. They kill needlessly and anyone associated with them should be a ashamed and hide in sheets like what you saw on TV. Soon you will see them in handcuffs if they try that 60's mess in the 2000.
It is a wicked and sick mind to kill someone period but also for their skin color and not the content of thier character. If your interests in this is peaked to hid in sheets and fill your self with hatred because your neighbor is not like you then i would encourage you to seek counciling. This mentality is a sick, satanic, and cruel.
We as a nation will show them 0 tollerance when they try their wicked mess. Let them rule and reign in PRISON that is where they (their kind of mentality) belong not in normal society with everyone else spreading their cancer.

i saw something on the history channel on them, it started to keep blacks from mixing with the whites after they were freed, and it more or less ended when the leader raped and killed a white women in mississipi or georgia
