Do you mean as a participant in the meet? Or a part of the audience? If you're an athlete, go to the meet, of course. But if you mean just watch, then forget it unless this is some great meet where you'll see records set.
Remember it's still winter at Tahoe.

Your coach will not be too happy if you choose Lake Tahoe over your first meet. Your team mates will probably not be too happy with you either.
