How much trouble is it to change an injector pump on a 240D mercedes, mine is ok for now, but would like to?

keep a extra used one, in a clean bag in the trunk just in case, out on a long trip i'm sure it would not be easy to find a used pump, so if i need to replace it will i be in for problems other than just bleeding the injectors?

Make sure your fuel filters are good and don't worry about the pump. They are said to outlast three engines.

not much trouble at all just about 3-4 hours time if you have the specs. and some tools oh and a pump gasket
