One revolution around the sun = 365.2564 solar days (solar day = 24 hours)

One full rotation = 23 hours 56 minutes and 4.091 seconds
(One solar day is takes exactly 24 hours, but that is different from one rotation which takes slightly less time)

Earth rotates from west to east --- (not clockwise, that makes no sense - if you looked at the earth from above the north pole it would be rotating counter-clockwise, if you looked at it from below the south pole it would be rotating clockwise -- looking at the earth straight on it is rotating sideways from west to east)

When the Earth is furthest from the sun it is about 94,509,130 miles from the sun (152,097,701 km). This happens sometime around July 4th.

one year for a revolution, one day for a rotation, it rotates west to east (since the sun rises in the east), it is farthest away during our summer, because of its elliptical orbit. (It's during our summer because the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun.)

Please see the similarity of date. I think the American Independence day is the same day. You can see the date in the book kept in the hand of liberty statue.
