IM not sure of the mercury, venus and jupiter ones, but i can help you with the earth and mars.

Earths core is made of iron. The iron core gie earth its magnetic field. Much like if you wrap a metal wire around an iron nail and attach it to abattery you will create an electro magnet.

Mars is also comprised of alot of iron. This can be seen in hte color of Mars. Mars is red and the red comes from iron oxide. Iron oxide is just a fancy word for rust and is caused from iron oxidizing, hene the name iron oxide.
