In an email, highlight the word and then clink the hyperlink icon (or whatever logo they have for hyperlink). Enter the website address when its asked. When the hypelink is enter properly, it should automatically highlight itself. (usually purple or blue)

In a Microsoft Word 2003, highlight the work and right click it. Then chose hyperlink. In the "address" area, enter the link.

What email program do you use? Most have a button that looks a bit like chain or a figure 8. Just hightlight the word you want to use and then click the hyperlink button. It will open a dialog box where you put the URL

What email program are you using? Here's how to do it in Outlook (probably Outlook Express too):
Type your message.
Highlight the word(s) you want the reader to click on.
Click the Insert menu at the top of the window and click 'Hyperlink'.
A window should appear prompting you for the URL of the web page you want the link to point to.
Enter the correct URL and press OK.

guess I'm just lazy, when I want to send my friends to a certain page on a site, I open the site, copy the url by highlighting the url, putting my cursor on the info, right clicking there, selecting copy, and then going into my message and pasting it there..
sure easier than all those other ways..
and, when they read the message, they just click on the url, because it becomes a link, at least, in Yahoo! Mail.
