I had my period about two weeks ago. After I "stopped" I still experienced spotting until today which now is a normal "flow". First it was dark (from right after my period two weeks ago) and now its really red and thick (like a normal period) and I'm having cramps again. This has never happened to me before and I'm worried. How can somoene have two periods in a month? Does anyone know if it is due to stress or if it's from a medical problem? Thanks.

It could be a medical problem and you should consult your doctor about this.

First of all what form of birth control are you on? I have just started Diane-35 and they say that the first month you will have spotting and bad cramps because your body is just getting use to the new pill. But if you have been on the same pill of awhile it could be that you forgot to take your pill at the proper time and when you remembered you took it more then 12hours later which will cause spotting.

First of all, is there any chance it could be a miscarriage? Second of all, medical problems such as poly cycstic ovarian syndrom can cause period abnormalities. Also, the stress hormone can overtake your reproductive hormones and supress them causing a period if you are super stressed.

The dark blood you mention is old blood. When I had my periods I had them every 2 weeks so its normal for me, and yours could be stress. Talk with your doctor or his nurse, good luck

It very could well be stress. I would go to the doctor if I was you. This very well may be your period and the former just your body cleansing. Did you miss last month? Hope this helps.

The last two are possible answers. However it's impossible to give you a correct answer without medical test.
