Hi ;)

I did this for my parents once - to this day, they still say it was the most wonderful gift that they ever received.

First of all you can make a beautiful card on the computer (links given for free/shareware) and decorate it for them at home, with anything that you might have in your craft box at home, such as tiny ribbon bows, glitter gel, stars, whatever.

If you want a card designer with more functionality, you can also go to a pay site, enter your credit card # and download the software.

Do the same with a small box - cover it with shiny gift wrap and decorate with ribbon.

Inside the box put decorated index cards (or smaller,) on which you've written a heading for all of them - "I love you Mom and Dad"

These will be their "Because I love You" cards.

Think of lots of lovely things you can do for them in the future, and write each one per card. Each one can be redeemed with you once. Some of the ones that I used were:

Let's go out for dinner!

I'll do the laundry for you Mom!

Relax Mom, I'll vacuum the floors!

Relax Dad, I'll give you a massage!

I'll get a DVD and popcorn - and we can watch a movie together!

I'm sure you can think of rmore ;)

I hope that's helped!

Actually, that's a great idea. . .what if you just were creative about how you did it? You could have them go on a scavenger hunt with cute clues. This answer assumes you can drive and you have some $. Here's what I'd do.

type up cute clues to a nearby florist, a restaurant, and the video store. then mapquest all 3 places. Put the each clue in its own envelope. Fold the mapquest maps and tape the folded maps closed--then write "hint: only open if you've given up" on the folded maps. Put the maps in the envelopes with the clues.

Next, go to the florist, and buy a small bouquet of flowers or a single long stem rose. Explain what you're doing and that your parents will be coming in. Give them the envelope with the clue to the restaurant and ask them to give it to your parents with the bouquet.

Then, go to the video store, and get a gift card. . .nothing huge, just $5 or so. Put it in the envelope with the clue to the video store in it. Drop off the clue for home at the video store.

Take the video store envelope to the restaurant. Explain what you're doing, and ask if they can give it to your parents with dessert or their bill.

Next, go home. While your parents are on their scavenger hunt, clean the house.

Well if you pay for the dinner at a fancy restaurant and then clean the house for them that would be cool. Or get them Gift cards...maybe up to 100 dollars or something a long those lines.
Gift cards always work.
Though could your parents use the cash ?? that could help them pay a bill or two....hope i could help.

What about a coupon book for both of them or one for each of them. You could make different coupons for them to use in the future, like you pay for a dinner and movie out just the two of them, one for you cleaning up the house, one for you cooking dinner at home and cleaning up afterwards, things like that you might not normally do. Of course, include ones like extra hugs or time just the two of you like maybe breakfast out before the other one gets up. Or you make breakfast in bed for them.

Well you could cook a gourmet meal at home, have a candlelit dinner waiting for them with the dessert and make yourself scarce after serving them. Use the best china and above all else tell them you love them.

art. the thing that can get us out of so many problems. make a painting or draw a picture. Also, if you have kids get them to make something. you can always say you were sick and say you couldn't get anything then give them a late present.next time, don't procrastinate

Take them on a family trip to the zoo.

This is relaxing, cheap, & rewarding.
