This kid from my school decided to take his iPod video into the ocean with him, now he wants to sell it, I told him id buy it for 60, thats including charger, car charger, and usb cord. When he plugs it into a power source, it show the hardware issue sign with a battery next to it, I called apple and they said a battery replacement would fix that. Lastly, should I buy it???

I say no, it depends how far your willing to go to fix it. You should do some research and estimate how much you think the tottal repair will cost. If its 75 + dollars I wouldn't even think of it.
