try to confront you or criticize you? I am 16 years old and I usually tower over them but they talk to me as if I couldn't do anything. Does anyone else feel this way? Is this lack of respect a problem or pretty common?

Put your mom on the line, kiddo. She and I need to have a long talk about why she didn't backhand you into the middle of next week the very first time you lipped off to her.

Edit:

I think it's time that someone introduces you to the real world. Women carry a lot more than lipstick and laundry lists in their purses these days. Try to intimidate them, and you'll be lucky if all you get is a face full of pepper mace.

In states that allow concealed carry, you threaten a woman, and she's as apt as not to give you a 9 mm. ettiquette lesson. Wise up before you get yourself seriously hurt.

Cause you're nothing but a big p*ssy to them, believe me I tower over them and still I wouldn't ever try to cross the line with any of them. I'm their Gentle Giant.

Your still young though, you gonna find out lots of new things about women as the years go by, try not to be hating on them so much at 16, it's not a good thing believe me.

I love my women, no matter how much they piss me off

Height has nothing to do with respect. That you have to earn. Look at what you do and maybe you will find out why they do not respect you. With a question like this I don't think you respect females. So, turn about is fair play.

im a girl in middle school. and yes i know what you mean some woman are so rude to thier boyfriends or jus friends who happen to be guys.. i think you shouldnt take that from them.. thats no way to talk 2 anybody.. so its kinda both lack of respect and a common problem.. just tell them off.

Respect should be mutual. I don't generally think about how I could physically overpower someone (especially women), so I think you should look at a more civilized and mature basis of respect.

hehehe..

i used to feel that way with boys too... back when i was 16...

thats pretty common...

it isnt lack of respect...

if you think it is.. then prove to them that you are worth respecting..

remember that respect is earned, it is not immediate..

=))

ps: im a female

Women have something you want. They will always hold this over you in an attempt to turn you into a better person. Criticism is a woman's way of saying "I like you. I'd like you even more if..." The important thing to remember is not to change who you are or what you belief.

yeah i totally get that
mostly cus parents or authority dont think that girls could do anything to boys so they dont look for that stuff
girls do that stuff because its such a big deal to do somthing bad to a girl if your a boy, unlike visa versa.(even though im sure you could easily beat the crap out of almost any girl that confrounted you if you didnt get sent to the principals office or something.)
