I am 21 years old, am a junior in college and am trying to decide my next step. I have a few options: 1) graduate and move to Berlin with my fiancee (I loved it there when we visited, but am nervous to move that far from home; he would love to go), 2) go to grad school (I'm a straight A student and hopefully wouldn't have a problem getting in), 3) move to Canada and go to grad school there. As you can probably tell, I'm disillusioned with America and would love to leave. However, is it easy to get a Visa for Germany? As for grad school, I love English and would like to continue with that but don't know if I have the dedication for it. Any advice on any of these topics would be soo helpful for me. Thanks!

Is your fiance from Germany? If he is you shouldn't have a hard time getting a visa from there. If you are planning on studying there the best bet would be to contact the German Embassy where you live and they will tell you what information is required to live there. You can stay in Germany for three months without having a visa after that you will need to go to the "Auslanderamt" (meaning foreigner office to get a visa). But if you are going to go as a student best to get a student visa (but with that you will only be able to work for a limited time, 3 months I think). Here is a site that will have more information for you on different schools in Germany http://germany.iiepassport.org/

If you want to go to Canada this website: http://socrates.aucc.ca/index_e.html has lots of information for different universities in Canada

Also, try looking into American Universities that have transfer "contracts" with Universities in Germany, this way you could still study in Germany but get have your work still credited from an American university so if you stay in the states your education can be recognized by universities in the States, that way you dont need to worry about classifying your work or taking extra courses so your education is accepted in the states.
