Yes! My mom used to have beautiful thick hair when she was younger (before kids) and then after having us 4, she now has really thin baby fine hair. It's still beautiful, but it's very thin.
And now that I'm grown and have 3 kids of my own, I too am slowly losing hair. I love my mom so much, but I hope my hair doesn't end up to be really thin like hers is. If it does end up like that, then atleast I can ask her for help on how to style it!
Yes, it's very normal for hair to fall out after child birth. Some women have it worse than others. I hope you don't have it too bad, but always remember that you are beautiful and have beautiful babies!

Well, I had a similar problem, though it was from winter to summer. She totally lost a lot of hair. First off, I would put at least a light sheet on her at night. No, that won't prevent her from growing in her winter fur. I've seen my horses get more fur in the winter when the days got Really cold. Anyway, are you sure it's not a skin infection? My mare had a fungal infection, and she was very itchy too. I just gave her a few bathes with fungal shampoo. I might ask a vet, and maybe get a skin scrapping. Or I'd just wait and see if this works out. It is kind of strange, but I don't think I would worry too much.

Yes it has been worse with this last pregnancy then the other 2. My baby is 6 months old, and I thought it would stop by now since it started like 5 months ago. I'm going crazy with it too! I heard once that you don't shed any hair while pregnant to get the nurtrients from them, then you lose all the hair you would have while pregnant for the few months after delivering. Don't think there's anything to do to stop it.

My baby is almost 4 month and I feel like I’m going bald. There is so much falling off each day that I am surprised to have any left. So you are not alone in this boat. I talked to my hair stylist and he did not have anything to say except to change my shampoo. My OB said that it’s normal and due to the hormonal changes and should stabilize it self after I stop breast feeding and the body stops producing pregnancy hormones. I hope I don’t go bold by that time. Good Luck. And if you find something that helps please let me know.

This is perfectly normal. Although it does scare you especially after brushing your hair after your shower and seeing the huge clumps of hair on your brush. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it and it will last sorry a couple of months.
The reason behind is towards the end of your pregnancy, again due to hormones, you don't lose hardly any hair. To encourage you a little, the fact that you have started to lose your hair means that your hormones are back on track and no so out of wack anymore. Don't worry the hair that you're losing will grow back. Well eventually... best of luck!!!

after i had my baby i swore i was going to go bald. my hair shed like crazy for about 8 months. but dont worry, it will stop. it is not necessary to use biotin or anything like that. it is just a natural process. while you were pregnant your body held onto all your hair, you may not have noticed but you probably didnt shed much while pregnant. so now your body is letting it go. i know it can be scary to think that you are going bald, but have no fear it will stop.

YES!! This is VERY normal. It happened to me and does to everyone, though everyone experiences it to a different degree.
You have a large increase in your hormones when you are pregnats (go figure your hair and nails didn't grow nice just because of those prenatal vitamins after all).
After pregnancy your hormone levels drop to normal...making your hair fall out a lot. Its not going to ALL fall out, don't worry, you won't be bald. It will stop on its own!

yep!!! your hormones and all the nutrients you are getting while pregnant cause your hair to grow stronger, and have less of it fall out... so when you aren't pregnant its almost like ''catch up time'' and it falls out more. but normally is just back to what you were at before, you just dont realize it because you haven't been loosing as much for 9 months. i did (and do from time to time) use biotin, it will make you hair healthier, and grow longer, but hate to break it to ya, this is one of those lil things ya dont hear about often. it is normal. so dont worry about it :)

very normal hormones are still raging...if you had a C-section and had an eppy or any meds like that that's makes it even worse. Sperlina is a great natral herb for the hair and many other things.....i've known lots of people who have used it...i have myself.
