and Foxnoise is slanted, is it unfair to force this propoganda down there throats by providing no other source of news at certain installations?

Its no wonder why theres so many troops that remain loyal to bush, since all most of them get to see is that which the fox news republican channel spins there way, or refuses to report when all looks bad.

I bet more troops would mutiny if there were shows like Keith Olbermans countdown that really points to the corruptness of this administration.

MSNBC uncovered building 18 and now building 11 at walter reed. Imagine if our troops saaw that. Fortunately for them FOX news wont report that.

Is that fair?

EZMZ -- you are all wrong! I still have friends serving in IRAQ, and they will tell you NOT to believe the 'progress' you hear of on any news report!

So unless youve been there you dont know!
Prior service here, I know how easily reporters spin a conflict

If our troops only get FOX news and FOX news is slanted, then they would be getting slanted news. It would also be unfair to force propaganda down their throats. This of course is not the case though; they have all the news channels that are available by satellite, as well as their own observations.

I'm involved with troop support, and a veteran. They get all the major US news nets, also BBC and Sky, and the intel types keep an eye on Al Jazeera.

Most of them report that the Iraq they see on the news, whether CNN, MSNBC or even Fox, is nothing like the Iraq they see around them. It's like for instance if all you ever saw on the news about your city was the crime reports.

Every one that I know well and personally are back for the second or third time, and volunteered to do it. I tried to volunteer ( I was in Iraq the first time, 1991) but the Army thinks I'm too old and crippled now. Sucks.

Fox News is what is most widely shown on military installations because that is what us troops want. From your perspective, Fox appears slanted to the right because you are so used to the liberal bias from the mainstream media that when you get news reported straight down the middle without the bias you believe they Fox is conservative. Also, Bill O'Reilly and Hannity & Colmes are not news programs, they are opinion shows, dont confuse the two.

You might wann ask the question, why does Fox kick the crap out of all the other networks in the ratings?

The truth is most of our troops support the war effort because they are over there and can see the positive changes and get the support of most of the people there....The troops are quite perplexed at the fact ALL of the news media paint a distorted and twisted picture of the progress that is being made their----yes------fox-----msnbc---cnn----and the rest are all guilty of reporting only the bad things. If the war is lost it will not be due to lack of interest in our splendid young men and women in uniform----it will be lost by a politically correct senate and house led by a biased news media.

I seriously doubt that they only get Fox News. Perhaps that's the only thing that is on the TV there, but it can't be the only one available.

ADDITION- Funny, I thought this was the place to be say things and be heard. Sorry if I ever offended you. You're still closed-minded though.

As with every other American, the troops can choose to watch what the wish. It amazes me that people who spout off about freedom of choice don't want us to have that choice when it comes to where we get our information.

I believe the troops are making a choice they're happy with. Get over it.

Oh my, heaven forbid they watch a news station that doesn't bring their morale down and tell them how horrible they are.

Shame on Fox news for supporting them!! (obvious sarcasm)

So, you would rather let them hear so much negative and propaganda? Guess so, it's the liberal way, but guess what, it's not the only way.

Thank goodness for Fox news!

Fox is more fair than any other network. MSNBC spews the hate with K. O.

if your tired of seeing propagangda about the war may I sugest turning to the internet for your news and weather? most sites that offer free e-mail also offer free headline news, I love aol news, and I check my weatherchanal desktop weather every morning while I get ready for school and work, both are as up to date as you can get and the best part is, you can get your news whenever you're ready to, not when fox is ready to show it
