Ok, i absolutely will not use a tanning bed. i've heard that using baby oil, butter, crisco, and things like that will tan you very well. anything else you know of? i am a fairly easy tanner. i live in alabama...plenty of sun!

Well, that all depends on your price range. If you are a fairly easy tanner, simply go to the drugstore and purchase a bottle of standard SPF 8-30 spray oil, and you will have great luck. If you want to spend a bit more for a longer lasting tan, go to a tanning salon and purchase one of their accelerating lotions. This will increase tanning in the outdoors as well as within a bed. Purchase from Designer Skin's product line as they offer indoor/outdoor capabilities, have anti-aging properties, guarntee not to stain streak or orange (the do contain bronzers), have a year and a half shelf life, and are 13.5 oz bottles. If you tan easily, you can get a higher level bronzer with no worries. Try either Revival or Worship Me. Revival is a triple bronzer infuzed with caffeine and so stimulates your skin to aid in boosting the tanning process. Worship Me is a quad bronzer and so delivers more color faster. Both lotions do contain both natural bronzers (black walnut shell extract) and artificial like DHA (an FDA approved skin coloring agent) and Erythrulose (blends bronzers to give skin a natural look, NO orange), plus melanin activating peptides like MegaMela Max or Tyrostan. So, if you're open to spending more, those are absolutely wonderful. From personal experience, Worship Me outside will not let you down. I live near a beach, and frequent it often in the summer, so I do know either lotion works phenomenally outside. Revival is $50 and Worship Me is $56.
P.S. NEVER EVER use crisco, baby oil or butter for tanning indoors or out!!! They will cook your skin, and deprive your skin of natural vitamins and minerals your skin needs to stay healthy & maintain a proper water balance.
Happy Tanning!!!

i have been told that laying on a dark surface when you lay outside to tan helps a lot... but dont forget to put on lots of sun screen because the sun does do some damage to the top layer of skin but most of the damage from sun is done to your third layer of skin... and that is the last layer you will ever have... that is the one that everyone will see when you get older so if you want to still be a babe when you are old... use lots of sunblock!!!

ok. first off, why would you want to put grease on your body .. that's so gross.
secondly, i dont know why you wont use a tanning bed.
the sun is just as bad if not worse for you than a bed.
if you wanna be picky and take naturally though, buy TANNING LOTION!! its not that expensive and thats why it was made!

use a toner, it is not a direct cream that cha ges the color of ur skin, where it leaves marks, but it gradually darkens ur tone. u put it on everyday and it works!
