If you get paid twice a month most of the time and three times a month sometimes, you are getting paid bi-weekly, or every two weeks. You will get that extra check about every three months. Which months depends on what day you get paid on and how the calendar falls in relation to payday.

Depends on which week the pay-cycle occurs. It will happen during 2 months of the year.
If you get paid on Fridays, then in 2007 it will be one of the following:
March & August
or
June & November
