I bought today some makeup at Macy's and I don't like it... The quality is different to the makeup that i saw in the counter there... I don't know why...
can I return this makeup if I tested already in home? Another thing is that the eyeshadow was looling like tested before... I just notice that when I opened in the house.

I used to work at macy's up until 6 months ago as a beauty advisor. As long as you have the package it came in, the product does not look too used and the little sticker is on the package or better yet, you have the receipt....then WE MUST take it back .... just tell them the truth. They can't get mad...they may try to get you to buy something else and thats your choice...oh! And return the items to the counter you purchased it from. If you try to take it to another counter to return it, it looks shady and some people will refuse to return it and tell you to go to the counter or brand you bought it from. Hope this helps and don't feel bad people return stuff all the time. Why keep it if you are not happy?

They will have to return it, especially if you have your receipt. Sometimes the quality is different due to the fact that you might have gotten an older product, or the tester was older as well. If you got something that had already been used before, take that back as well. They should be able to exchange it with no problems. Make sure to go back to the counter you purchased it from.

Bring your receipt and all the original packaging when you go back to Macy's to return it. Also, if you paid w/ a credit card have it on hand so they can credit the exact account.
There should not be any problem. Part of the benefit (and cost) of shopping at a department store is its return policy.

in my experience, you can't return lipsticks (anything for the lips), nail polishes & foundation (especially the compact ones with sponges) if it's opened.. it's because of health purposes.. but it is better if you ask the store to be sure..

take it back asap if you buy from walgreens they have apolicy you can bring it back they have stuff there that works just as good as macys or anyone else

just tell them that once you opened it, it looked like someone had already opened it. they may or may not give you a hard time, but stand up for yourself and you should get your money back.
