Absolutely. A therapist can help you both communicate with each other so you can hear and understand each other effectively.

If you go to counseling expecting someone to "fix" him that will probably not happen. What will happen is that you can both communicate and work on your issues more effectively and hopefully find compromises and solutions to your problems.

Good luck :)

A mediator/facilitator can help you both focus on the areas in your relationship that can be improved. Both must commit to mend the rifts. One can begin the dismantling.
A counseling session is perhaps, one hour, two times a week. The work has to be done at home as well.

I think its a good idea, however, individual counseling for both of you could prove to be helpful as well. Is he even going to have time for counseling? If he doesn't have the time for you because of him working, how is he supposed to have the time for counseling? There is such a thing as a workaholic. That is why I suggest the individual counseling as well.

Absolutely. It can help in 2 ways. It can make him realize that he is not spending time with his family and he will change. Or you will find out if he has issues with you and then you two can sort it out if you wish. Or decide that it's just not gonna work. An unbiased person (therapist) could help to point out what the real problems are for both of you. If you find out that it's not gonna work out between the two of you.........then better to know now than later.

I think counseling will definitely help, but it's up to your husband to take the help and use it effectively in order to really make a change..

I have been to therapy. therapy is only as good as the person in it. if he is willing to do the work and you are also willing to do the work - the sky is the limit.
