goth and emo.......?

what is the difference i know there is one just not sure.

Emo music is based on "deep sadness".

Goths dress in black, wear white make-up, black eye liner, black dyed hair, and a bunch of miscellaneous metalware.
Emos dress in tight pants, studded belts, band shirts, scene hair, and always hang their head down when walking.

I think goth is just the type of
person that loves the color
black, and hates preps and bright
colors.
However, on the other hand, emo,
i think are people afraid of the world,
and too depressed to do anything.
And i believe most emos cut their wrists.

i am goth, and i am not all "oh the world is terrible, i wear black because i want to die" im actually a pretty damn happy about life, its just how i choose to dress, what music i choose to listen too, and the books i choose to read. i dont worship satan, i dont hang out in graveyards late at night (ok, some times i do, but only because i noticed a good photo opportunity) im not going to kidnap your children for some religous sacrifice, and the pants im wearing are pretty damn comfy, so quit asking me about the chains and everything on them.

the majority of emo kids i know once again, like goths, are not depressed, dont feel like slitting their wrists, its once again a lifestyle built around a choice in music, clothes, books, etc...yeah some of them write bad poetry and play acoustic guitars, but its just a form of expression.

in my town, there must be some major differance im missing because a lot of the emo crowd doesnt like the goth crowd. there was this coffee house in town that was a groovy place to hang out, play games and talk, and then it changed ownership. it became the emo hang out and every time i walked in there just trying to get a cup of coffee, i got stared at like i was the devil or something...im not sure why i had to share that, its just smoething i dont understand...

emo- depressed, "hide from the world" often dont care how they look some wear alot of black "darklings" as my friend calls them. dont know why people are affraid of them(as said before) (actually some often fear anyone with higher social status then them) there often lonly, just looking for a friend.not sure.i allways have been emo-at-heart, to me the clothing is only a lable however many people view it as a fashion statement

Goth- not sure here, some whiten thire faces. i knoticed certian types of goth fashion is rennasance/romeo&julliett inspiered (mainly girls formalwear) I dont want to say much here since i dont know much.

emo ppl are some of the nicest ppl. why are so many people against or scared of them? they most deffinately are not scary.
i love the clothes....i'm just a tad emo. lol
