I actually have met a murderer. When I was a kid, I used to get the school bus with a boy called Simon. When he grew up, Simon developed mental problems and had to have psychiatric treatment.

Somehow, Simon managed to get himself a girlfriend (despite his problems, Simon was a very good-looking guy). One time, his parents went away on holiday and left Simon and his girlfriend alone in the house. Whatever happened, Simon snapped, killed his girlfriend and then hanged himself. His parents came home from their trip and found their son hanging by his neck and his girlfriend's body in the next room. It was on the national news and in all the papers.

Nobody will ever really know the full story, but the house where it happened is just around the corner from where I am now. Creepy.

I personally have to wonder how you would work with a murderer without having them already be in jail. It isn't like murderers go around telling their coworkers. And if you found out and they were in jail then most people would probably give you the expected answers of either 'he seemed so nice you wouldn't have known it to look at him' or 'I always knew there was something not quite right with him'.
