maybe you should try going to a make up store like M.A.C. they might be able to help you find a foundation that goes with your color..sometimes covergirl is to powdery and its not for everyone

If you bought it at a drugstore with a good return policy and have your receipt, return it.
Ideally, foundation should be tested along your jawline. Finding a good match can be tricky. I suggest you go to a department store and ask for help finding one. Try it on for awhile and see if you can get a sample. If you like it, buy it or try to match the sample to a drugstore foundation.
Department store brands I like: Clinique and BeneFit (not too expensive) or MAC (pricey but has an excellent range of shades and formulas)
I have medium to dark skin and never have had any luck with Prescriptives.
Lancome is okay but tends to have a scent.
For some product reviews & recommendations, check out: www.cosmeticscop.com and/or www.makeupalley.com
I've found these 2 sites very useful.
Like a previous member said, Sephora is good too. The store carries many brands and has lots of testers. So you have a lot of choice and can check things out for yourself.

ummm... i have that same problem sometimes, and what i do is put a solid bronzer, and then over coat it with a rosie check. This creates a well balanced glow, on any shade of skin.... Trust me! and plus you can do it pretty cheap, instead of spending all your money on expensive foundations, the best route is to use a cheap foundation like, covergirl and brush over it with a bronzing powder, and blush.

Don't put bronzer over it, because later in the day, chances are, instead of you looking a "little light", you'll look orange. My guess is to blend as best you can....don't have the typical line around yur face, though. go out and do the camera test in natural light.

This always happens when you take pictures -- the flash is going to lighten whatever is closest to the camera, which was your face! If it looks natural when you're standing outside in natural light, then why bother switching foundation??

I suggest going to Sephora instead of MAC. MAC will only try to sell you their products whereas Sephora has many other products and doesn't need to rely on the sales of only their own makeup.
