Judge Judy used to be a real judge before doing her television show. She reminds me a lot of Al Pacino in that she shouts a lot and has a real New York accent at times.

She's the real deal. I watched her on Larry King the other night and found out that she is actually a really cool woman.
She's only a tough old bird when she's on the bench but I love the way she tells it like it is!

Is she real as in is she really a Judge? If this is what you mean, Yes she is a Judge or was one and is retired. Where is she from as in what state? This I am not sure of. But her husband is also a Judge as well as her daughter. Her husbands name slips my memory, But her daughter is Judge Marilyn.

yep, I have friend who went onto Judge Judy. He got to talk to her before and after the show. She is pretty cool. Not so harsh in real life. But, she is a real judge.
The cases really are real, the judgments really are real. But, the show pays the judgments for you.
