Before my Grandmother passed away a couple of yrs ago she let me and my 4 children (3 with special needs) stay here rent free and as long as I paid my share of the water etc. Now for some reason (honestly don't know the reason) my father has decided to hand me rules ect for staying here, one is no friends on the property without my Uncles permission (my uncle is a total drunk). I should mention that I am almost 41 now. My kids are noted in the document (not stamped or witnessed) as MY OFFSPRING, not as my children or his grandchildren. I have been doing my best to keep this old house standing (it's over 100 yrs old), it also sounds as if he plans to do inspections of the house I used to call home. I am trying to get on disablilty because of a bad disk and other problems. This was just pulled on me this afternnoon. My kids are totally upset, since their grandfather made it verbally known they may not have aplace to live soon.
PLZ Do I have any rights, how should I deal with this?

It reads like your grandmother owned the house. Now that she has died, though, someone else inherited it. That sounds like your father is the new owner. As such, he can control the terms of your occupancy, unfortunately. Do you have access to read your grandmother's Will, if she had one? Unless she provided for you to stay there, your fate is , sadly, in the hands of whoever now owns the house.

You have a tough problem. Seek government help. If the house is falling apart, it might be deemed uninhabitable. Your family sounds pretty messed. up. Where's the father or fathers of your kids? You need to get Public Aid and Food Stamps for you and the kids, at the local state office for public assistance. Also call the local Social Security office to apply for disability. That can take years, though.

You need help. I pray for you, but it's the government you have to go to.
