I think theres like a plague making its rounds in my fish tank....We had added new things to the tank about a month ago, but they have since died off...But ever since then, it seems like the fish either have pop eye, or white stuff on them which I figure is ich, but not sure of. Also, one of my fish - a tiger barb - I swear looks like it has hemmoroids!

We've tried those dissolving ich treatments, as well as the dissolving fungus treatments....And it really doesnt seem to be helping any.

Any suggestions??

Also, one of my fish - a tiger barb - I swear looks like it has hemmoroids! (Small bubbles under/near where I do believe he poops from). And the patches on the fish kind of look like a cross between ich, and something fuzzy. Now, one of the australian fish looks to have some film over its right eye.

We've tried those dissolving ich treatments, as well as the dissolving fungus treatments....And it really doesnt seem to be helping any.

I have a 29g tank, with 2 australian rainbow fish I do believe; 2 mollys; a sword tail fish; 2 algae eaters; and 3 african dwarf frogs. MORE than enough room for all of them!

Any suggestions??

First of all, if you're talking about the dissolving tablets, I have found that they don't really work well. I have never had one of those cure a tank. Find a liquid ich treatment if you have ich in your tank(ich looks like salt or sugar sprinkled on the fish). You may want to double check your diagnosis as well, velvet shows in white or grayish patches on fish, and fungus looks like a white fuzzy spot, in my experience, commonly on the back or up by the head. Check your water parameters, you want 0 ammonia 0 nitrite, and 10ppm or less of nitrate. If your water parameters are off, it's making your fish more likely to get sick. Do a water change, not too big, though. 30 percent would probably do you good. Also, you dont mention tank size, but if your overstocked that could be a factor in the poor health of the fish. Also, raise the temperature of your tank a few degrees, I cant tell you accuratly how much b/c I dont know what fish you have. Raising the temp will kill the ich parasites, but if you have sensitive fish, thats not a great option. Also remember when treating for ich, that scaleless fish like loaches and catfish, elephant noses, ropefish, or knife fish react badly and may die if you use copper based ich medications. Use coppersafe medications for scaleless fishes, it will tell you on the package if it's safe for all tropical fish. Just look at the ingredients, if you have any of those fish, just don't buy a med containing coppper. Good luck

First, I'd do a 50% or more water change to get out previous treatments. I'd tank the new decorations out and give them a good cleaning (hot water & spare toothbrush on any surfaces you can reach). Then, I'd double-check your diagnoses and if you're using the proper medications for the type of fish your have:

Have you added new fish as well? What types of fish do you have? What size and how many? What size tank? And (and I hate to be gross) could you describe these "hemmoroids" on your barb? What is/are the ingredients of your treatments?

Also, have you tested your tank water lately?

hi, First, i might ask your self with regard to the water high quality. i might initiate with a water replace - maybe 25%. once you're putting nutrition in there and that they do no longer seem to be ingesting, the water is in all risk getting undesirable, which will cause them to worse. Are they new fish? Do they seem unwell, in any different case? One advantageous-hearth thank you to get fish to consume is to furnish them stay nutrition. you could the two hatch some toddler brine shrimp, or see in the adventure that your interior of sight puppy keep (no longer the chain shops-they do no longer carry them) consists of stay blackworms. stay nutrition is only too perplexing to withstand. in the event that they are unwell (see any little white spots on them or something?) you additionally can ask your interior of sight puppy keep for some drugs. in the event that they have little salt-like crystals on them, it rather is ich (short version of an prolonged call). that is rather ordinary to treatment in case you get on it spectacular away. there are multiple solid ich drugs on the marketplace. solid luck!
