The Moon
A man walked on the moon and discovered its surface, he put a flag on it and they left garbage on it also.
The Peak of Everest, some man knew the top existed, but Hillary walked up and discovered it.
The Northern and Southern Poles, it was assumed that they existed, and it is still a question as to who actually discovered the North Pole. But Robert Peary is said to have in 1909. It is still a mystery as to where True North Pole is.
The Geographic South Pole was discovered by Amundsend, he did not discover the area, but he set foot and discovered it for himself.
Everything Underwater, Jacques Cousteau discovered abuncha stuff. I watched him on TV.

Computer, Internet, Vaccine, Medicines - all are the Inventions and not discovery.
Most amazing discovery is the Indian market by the American multinationals.
Whatever we have done in space can be most amazing.
Human in moon must be the most amazing one - however all the space adventures are not completely known to human. Many of the discoveries are controversial and may be recorded in studio.
