Our primary teachers, 1-2, used to come in early , or do the day before, and use sponges or something and green paint to make it look like leprechauns had been there !! The kids squealed with delight when they entered the room and it appeared leprechauns had walked all over their desks and ? green lep. footprints !

Have them watch Riverdance and get into groups to form their own Irish dance. Let them use props found in the classroom and dress up as they see fit for a "jig". Winning team gets to perform their dance at the next school concert !
