I am 14 and want to take ballroom dance classes and go to competitions. Do you know any ballroom studios where this is offered around milwaukee, WI?

East Towne Ballrooms has a great program for juniors. They also have many opportunities for their juniors to perform.

I am an adult who dances at East Towne, the instructors are great and they work very well with young people.

The Fred Astaire Studios are more expensive and their junior programs have not been around as long as East Towne's. East Towne does not require contracts.

Go to http://www.ballroomdancers.com and http://www.accessdance.com/dance_lessons/state/WI/M/ look for a studio near you, call them up and ask if they teach competitive ballroom. When selecting a teacher, you might want to carefully find out if he/she trains other competitive couples and at what level or did he/she ever competed themselves. With young people - you can do a web search on their name. If a bunch of competition results come up - you know they have competed. For older coaches who retired from competing a while ago competition results are less relevant anyway, it is a better question if they teach competitors now and doing a good job. Sorry I'm not in WI so I can't suggest any names.

I highly recommend finding a studio where OTHER COMPETITORS go. Private studions tend to do a better job for competition oriented crowd. They have flexibilities in their programs that a franchise can't offer. From the list by state http://www.ballroomdancers.com/Directory/Studios/Default.aspts.asp I'd check out the Lake Country Dancesport first. But it loos like there is a whole buch of Fred Astire studios in the area. There is a non-zero chance that some of them teach Dancesport.

There are three Fred Astaire studios alone. Check their website. Ballroomdancers.com shows some independent studios. And Arthur Murray lists a studio in Eau Claire.

Hmm, aggressive ballroom community particularly went online approximately 5-7 years in the past... It incredibly relies upon how many of the previous stuff did they positioned on the internet. attempt to verify/think of what competitions she might have danced. touch the organisers/proprietors of the contest and ask in the event that they have any previous pictures or tapes. attempt to touch the studio she worked with. Ask for pictures or photos. additionally they might comprehend which competitions she have competed, or replaced into there any shows she performed. you are able to try so elementary as google her call. opposition outcomes at the instant are online.
