I think that is a terrific theory, it can be applied to many different sciences. Stress levels affecting heart disease, Meal times and blood pressure, even the body's subconcious changes to day times and so on. However that particular topic would take a great deal of research and time. I guess if the project's not due for awhile run with it!

That is a really cool idea for a science fair project!!! I think this project would be good if you're in highschool like grades 9 - 10 - or 11!!

Sounds like a great project. Will you be following a group of subjects?
I bought a BP machine at Walmart for $30--it's really consistently close to my physician's. If you are going to use a cuff and bulb, I'm in awe!
I think that this would be a pretty good project for any upper middle school or high school project...the higher the grade level, the more complex the project--say, in numbers of subjects, types of variables, and how closely you follow your subjects.
Sounds great to me!

That sounds like a great topic. Well, I remember I had a Science Fair in 4th grade and people did great topics. That would be good for grades 4 and above I would assume. It really depends on what that particular grade is learning.

This would be a great project for anyone from 8-12th grade. Really a 6th or 7th grader could do this one as well.
There is a large amount of medical research on understanding the body's 'Circadian Rhythm,' and blood pressure is a key component of this natural 24 hour cycle.
For some basic info see:

for some advanced info see:

Good luck with your science project!

Well when I was in elementary school I had to do 2 science fair projects. Try how the air pressure in things like balls or car tires affect their performance. or why wearing a black shirt attracts the sun to make you hotter. or also how salt affects the density of objects. well that is just some ideas of what I did or just thought of.

this would probably be pretty good if you are in the 5-7 grade range if you are out of there, im sorry. Do your best, you might try testing different things like, this
Does ice from a resteraunt have more germs on it than the toilet from the same restaraunt!

I think this is a good idea, I did something similar to this when I was in nursing school.....I think it would be good for a high school or late middle school project.....depending on the different things you add or take away.......sitting, standing and laying....that adds a different read to the whole project....or you could induce night or day and see how you react to induced changes in day and activities

This is a great idea and I think this would be good for pretty much any grade level. Anything health wise is always good for a project such as this and it is relevant to everyone. Good choice and good luck with it.

Sure. I think if you are just measuring the blood pressure and developing a hypothesis on what types of activities would make it change then an elementary age student can do this.
