Do you think Black Men should prefer any other race than their own?

Every race has a mate for their race to survive. When a Black man rejects a Black Women does he not hate being Black. You where given life by a Black Women and Man. Are you telling the world and yourself that you are not proud to be Black? Black Culture has went through a lot of racism and hatred for hundreds of years. Shouldn't we try to love one another and stop hating ourselves. We where united back in the day when Black men and women didn't have right's and freedom. Everyone experiments and can love another person from another race. But it burns the hell out of me when I hear the world PREFER?Damn!

I don't think those black men prefrering women of other races instead of their own hate to be black, I just think is their choice, I mean I am white and I love black men and it does not mean that I hate to be white its just something that happens.

Hey, cool down! Didn't our ancestors fight for our right to live as we choose, and to be individuals??? If someone has a preference, does it really matter if it's race, as opposed to something like opting for skinny women or large breasted women? I'm a black female, and what you're talking about used to bother me too, but as I've gotten older, my philosophy has become "to each, his own." Think about it this way, would you want anything to do with a man who would prefer a woman over you simply because of the color of her skin? No way! So black women aren't losing a damn thing worth having anyway.

I think you should prefer whom you want. Just like alot of White American men prefer Brunettes over Blondes..or whatever??I am a White American and I have went out with alot of different races and I prefer not to date black men.Would I go out with a black man again yes..Could I marry one.yes and my parents would have no choice than accepting my mate or I would end my family relationship, not my romantic one..but certain things that bother me with one black man is usually the same with the next one I go out with....from my personal experience...I don't hate black men I just don't prefer them. It is really not the color at all for me it is culture. And I have black girlfriends(lovely friends..so cool) and let me say this..racism is white,black..it is every color. In the reference to "prefer" I think it is okay....

It's nice to reflect on the past, but aren't you being racist by saying a black man and a black woman should only be together ? Does it offend you when you see a black man with a white, asian, or any other race? That should never bother any other person, what a person does is his/her own problem, not yours. I think you should get out of the past, because you are bringing your ownself down with these ideas. So you are saying too that asian people should stick to their own race, as whites and blacks, and any other race? We are ALL human, and human blends with human, obviously. Try to pry yourself out of this racial issue, because you will just hurt yourself in the long run, and be depressed over issues that have been going on for centuries. You said "We should love one another and stop hating ourselves.." All that means to me and probably the rest of the world is that you are hating yourself if you date/marry a person from another race. Sounds like you are very racist yourself. Start living for the present and the future.

I wonder that question myself, and why is mostly big white women. From a culture perspective, all races are different in that we are thought prejudices through our own upbringings. A Hispanic is different in what values they practice as opposed to those of a Caucasian woman, not to say one is more morally right than the other, just different interpretations of them. Why do black men prefer white women? I believe that it may make them feel less like a minority and more mainstream socially.

Dont we live in a free country and arent we able to choose the best partner for us, no matter what thier race?

I live in teh interracial love capital of the USA, Minnesota. As an American woman, I used to struggle with this issue but I have grown. I turn the question around. Why would I ever want a man who discounts me for my race..Especially when we share the same race. When I see a brother with a white woman is it a good use of my time to try and determine why they made the choice they did. No it is not.

You need to get over this. It is just holding you back.

Amen! I was raised in a family that says, "If you marry a white boy, we are going to disown you," but they were just playing. many Black men these days are going with all kinds of women with other cultures. i think it's alright, because if they are in love, then nobody should stop them. but you are totally right. We Black people have shed blood for our rights, so that we could have them this day. Black men should love our sistahs, but if they want someone else, thats okay.

I feel you. I know I have done my fair share of experimenting. But I prefer black women, the blacker the better. For reasons that you just mentioned. Because If I went out and married some white chick or even some high yellow chick I just feel like that would be like saying my mother isn't beautiful, that my aunt isn't beautiful, like my cousins aren't beautiful.

Sex is one thing, but when it comes to a preference for marriage I have to have a women that fits in with the family.

I think that is a personal decision that every man has to make for himself. You notice that I didn't say just black men. The way this question is worded sounds like you are only concerned about black men and that would be very racist.

I have preferences... everyone does...I'm more attracted to emo/goth type dudes with long black hair than I am to urban males from any race... Most guys prefer thin women, some prefer women with long hair... its all about what you are and aren't attracted to. Race is just another one of those attractions....and the Bible isn't against interracial marriages...that's stupid...my God isn't a biggot.....
