and Why? What do you think of the popular music of today?

John Frusciante's (guitarist for the re hot chili peppers) solo works are my favorite. They are raw and very powerful. I think popular music of every kind (rock, rap, traditional pop...) are all over produced. Over producing anyone can make them sound good. These days you cannot tell if a person is a good artist or if they just have a produce that can make anyone sound good. Nice question.

The best live performances that I have seen are
#1 ZZ Top - so much sound from 3 amigos
#2 Ted Nugent - just cuz he's a maniac and puts on a good show
#3 Blue Oyster Cult - duh, they pioneered the laser light show

you have to check a band called "broken social scene". hurry up, i have a feeling they might disband soon. you might have to come to Canada to see them. well worth the trip though. you might not ever want to go back, assuming you are from the states.
