one of my friends said they can fry peoples hard drives over the internet is that even physically possible?

Someone could conceivably send you a virus which could mess things up, but very highly doubtful that is could totally ruin your system. It might screw up Windows or a program or two, but no way it could do anything physically.

They could not literally fry it, but could delete everything on it with malware, a virus, Trojan horse, or worm.

He can't fry it literally, but he could certainly make it inoperable.

lol no way...that is just common sense. That is like saying someone could shoot you over the internet...impossible.

Have a pop-up blocker and a fire wall!
Firewalls come with a computer!
