i need it because we're gonna have a play but those on net are just reviews/synopsis.. i need to know the ending,really to be able to make a script. pls help me!

It's a pity you won't read the novel which is really great. But suit yourself. Anyway, it turns out at the end that Mr Cave had named all the trees correctly without a single mistake. The surprise being that he had worked in Sydney at an engraver's shop and done a great order of aluminium name plates for Mr Holland. When he came by train to deliver them to Mr. Holland (who did not know him from sight), two ladies from the town told him about Ellen on the train. So he went to win her and - lo and behold! he was able to name all the trees for which he had made the aluminium name plates before, thus eventually winning Ellen's hand.
