When blacks or hispanics do it, it's called showing pride in their heritage, when whites do it, it's called racism..why?

No, of course its not wrong to be proud of being white. However, when white people say they are proud of being white, many people (including white liberals) will say that you are a racist! What utter nonsense. Non-whites call white people racist when they can not win an argument with a white person. If a white person is for securing our borders with Mexico (www.protectourborder.net), or they are against amnesty for illegal aliens, or they want English to be the National Language, they are called racists. Why, because those with opposite opinions on these issues can not win the argument using facts and logic, so they resort to name calling.

No, I don't think it's racist to be proud to be white. What bugs me is when people put down other races. I'm proud of being Mexican, but it doesn't bother me if someone tells me they are proud of being Italian, Irish, Jewish, Chinese, Black, etc. I only have a problem when people start making fun of or being rude to other races.

I think you have a right to be proud of your race... However i do believe you have have many different cultures in the race that you might have to identify with.
Example Itialians, Irish, French, English, Swedish, German Yugoslavian, and soforth or whatever culture the heritage you originated from. You should be very proud of your culture and person.
African Americans: we are still working to connect back with our strong, forgiving, beautful Heritages from Africa and have been displaced from true connection to our specific culture like Nigerian, Keyan, South African, Ugandan and so forth and have been labled a Continent. Thank God for DNA testing we are able to make great strides.
To be honest with you just like you probably are disconnected with your culture so are we we all are american and those who are not connected with thier culture claim the US as thier own. I think we need to spawn TOGETHER the American Culture which is rich with many colors a melting pot of a vast rich culture with lots of food and tastes from Asian Americans, Latin Americans, European Americans, Indian Americans, Arab Americans, African Americans we individually and collectly make one dynamic culture. Let us work to get there together
I encourage you to be proud and love who you are individually and collectively with your cultural group and rejoice with me when it is my turn and let us all come together collectly. Totally acceptable!!!

Nope, even though the PC police would try and make out like us white folks are horrible, evil people, it ain't racist to be proud of being white. Look at the things we have accomplished through the centuries, not to mention, we're right nice looking, too.

I don't see how it can be racist to be proud of who you are. If we cant be proud of who we are, how can we be proud of anything? I am white and proud, but not to the point that I think I am superior to anyone that isn't. I would think that anyone that isn't proud of their race would have something mentally wrong.

it is not racist to be proud of your race. it's how you feel about other races that determines whether you're racist or not. certain organizations have a long, violent history of being racist. organizations like that taint how others feel about racial pride.
