Insinkerator hot water dispenser sputtering on its own?

Occasionally the hot water (near boiling) dispenser spurts and sprays out on its own...Common problem? Calcium buildup on valve body possibly?
Any ideas?

chances are their is air in the line turn your water valves down dont shut off all the way just restrict the flow till it stops spurting
