Beeping Ipod?

I've had my ipod for almost 2 yrs. Recently whenever I put in the charger it starts beeping ( the same sound used for the alarm) does that mean my battery is dying?

You may have an alarm on. Go to clock and if you see a bell that means that your ipod has its alarm on. If this doesn't work then you ipod is defective.
