actually it could be because of the current in the pond
i know my fish love to swim into the current

It's only becuase you are looking at them from above.
If you observe them from the bottom of the pond, you will find that they are swimming clockwise.
While you are there, it might be a good idea to wind them up.

Perhaps they hate clocks? then again, if you look up from the bottom of the pool, the swim clockwise. So I guess it depends on your perspective.

Either thqt, or I don't know jack-manure.
