People are just too uptight about things. Why must we be so PC all the time?! It's not offensive and I AM a native american...

I think it is absolutely atrocious that they want to ban the chief. Who is he really offending anyways? I am Apache and I think that it is such crap that after so many years people are finally getting offended. People nowadays are way too sensitive and just need to learn no to take everything to heart. Not everyone tells black jokes because their racist just like the chief is not dancing around to look like an idiot!!

By the way I am Irish, should I be offended by the "Fighting Irish" it makes us look bad does it not??? What a crock of crap this world has come to!!

No. I don't think it's as much of an issue as Native American activists make it out to be. Most tribes have higher priorities than complaining about offensive sports mascots- such as poverty and poor health care. Perhaps these activists should concentrate on fixing those REAL problems instead of making up phony ones of their own.

I dont think so it can be seen as offensive but then why do other schools get to keep they're mascots and i think that if looked at the write way it could be seen as a honor
