She was handling one legal matter and then voluntered to help me with a second, unrelated legal matter and the day we have to go somewhere happens to be her birthday.

Refer her to friends and family. She probably would appreciate knowing that you fell so highly of her service, not to mention, it would pay her as well.

Get her a card and write inside how much you appreciate her help and hard work.
