It really depends on how you define "scorer". I'd say Carmelo because he is consistent and has the highest PPG in the league. Arenas is an excellent clutch shooter, especially clutch 3's, but is very inconsistent (remember the next high scoring game was supposed to be the rematch at Portland on his tour? he only scored 19 that game, and the wizards lost). Arenas has much more hype for MVP than melo, and the wizards have a better record than the nuggets, if you still rather Arenas.

Definitely Carmelo. Arenas is way too inconsistent. He will score 40 for a week, then the nest week he will only score 20. Theres a reason why Carmelo is the leading scorer in the NBA.

Carmelo ball hogs even more than Kobe does now, one time it was the 3rd quarter Carmelo had like 20 points and 7 rebounds but no assists. he is sad.~

everyone so far has answered carmelo so i'll take the other side...melo is a good scorer but he has more threats around him that make him more effective, i.e. iverson, j. r. smith...arenas does have caron butler but not much else, so he gets his numbers when he is the one and only focus of defenses, plus i just think that he is more talented overall

gilbert is better. hes faster, which makes him more of a threat, plus hes more experienced, so he knows how players react to certain things he does.
