i was walking out of the book store the other day and was attack by 2 white cops, they told me to stop resisting, and i said "i understand im under arrest will you please stop beating me now" so after 10 or 15 minutes they finnaly let me up they told me i was un arrest for a robbery a few miles away....apparently a 'black man' robbed a liquor store a few miles away

um, sorry hon, but i'm a WHITE female, a professional, and I got beaten and arrested because a short white female had set fire to a house a few miles away. I don't mean pushed around and insulted, they pushes me on the ground so hard that i broke my nose and a tooth, and I never even got an apology from the court when they found out that it OBVIOUSLY wasn't me! It's not race, it's that SOME COPS ARE JERKS TO EVERYONE, and they think they can use stereotypes (like the fact that I was walking through a low-income neighborhood-that makes me a methhead that sets fires, right? Or that you are black and male) to abuse thier power. So it's not so much bcause you are black, hon. it's because they are assholes.

It's possible Tyrone. Likely even. Sorry you had a rough night. Did they actually arrest you (if they didn't, then you were not arrested and therefore you were not arrested for being black) and include charges for resisting arrest?

One time I was stopped by a cop while driving, and I swear the guy got angry the second he saw me and my passenger were hispanics. Was very rude. Got stopped for a nonworking turning signal and got a facefull of hate. Some of these guys are just plain racist jerks. We've commited a sin allright, we're minority and male. been there. BTW did get ticket for not whereing seatbelt, and he said to be glad that didn't give us more. I swear tis the truth.

Tell the NAACP and ACLU and see what they can do to help you
They can take you in for questioning and leave you in the holding cell. They are suppose to read you your miranda rights before being processed (fingerprinted Mug shot) then after you see the Judge if you had to go to a cell at that point you were arrested.
