Definitely baby Einsteins
Also and classical music and there are many classical musical dvd's that are playing and the baby can watch an artist's hands painting while the musical is playing.
I used these methods while I was pregnant for relaxation and to experiment and for me it became the best time for me to look forward after a long day at work or a stressful day and worked so well. Then after my children were born they listened to it alot, especially when things got a little stress full at home then good ol' Bach would settle every one down and for us it just worked so well. All my children have above average IQ 4.0 students, with many achievements. their memorization skills were amazing & I believe the art and music had something to do with this. I am not just wanting to brag, just pass this on for parents that are really into their children and to watch them lead to great learning skills and happiness.

My little guy loves Baby Einstein Baby Bach. You might want to rent a few first (you can usually get them for free from the library) and try them out as even though he likes Baby Bach...Baby Mozart and Baby Beethoven make him cry. Something about one of the images bothers him. The classical music is very soothing for babies and is suppose to be good for their development. You can also sample other DVDs for Free from the local library and see what ones your baby likes and change them up from time to time. I try to limit my son's TV viewing to 30 minutes when I really need to get something done.

Why do you want to sit a baby down in front of a TV already? Forget the DVD. Put the baby in a Pack 'n Play in the room with you so that he can see you. Sit with your baby and read to him. Hold him and talk to him.
Hold off on the TV as long as possible! He'll waste plenty of time in front of it later.

When my daughter was around 6 months, and she was being cranky when I needed to clean, I would pop in a Baby Einstein's video. She loved them, and I got to get my cleaning done.
