I was passionate about my job, but had to retire early to move across country with my husband. I thought I would feel grief at giving up my beloved job, but fortunately found retirement quite engrossing. Furnishing my home, taking up some hobbies, making new friends... these things become my focus and provided me with the same high that previously I got from my job.

yeah, and depending on what it was i will get into a state of semi-depression.
i hate that.
