Art Institutes are often quite expensive, so that may be something you need to consider. Another thing to consider is whether you are happy with a totally focused education or do you also want to expand your horizons in other areas of knowledge? For one thing, you are a citizen of the world, so knowing more about it perhaps makes you a better and more informed person. For another, where will your ideas come from in developing your own designs? The more knowledge you have from diverse areas and subjects, the more you have to draw from, literally and figuratively. The art schools are not usually the best places for breadth. Some people are okay with that, some aren't.

The question of "is X a good school" always makes me crazy because any school has strengths and weaknesses. See if you can talk to alumni from the fashion design program, or employers who hire fashion designers. What do they think of the program and the school?

Good luck!

If you are planning on taking fashion design I would suggest you go to a fashion design school where you can get hands-on-training.I think it will be more easier and better. It is also more fast paced.

You should have said where you live? NorCal is a pretty big area. If you live in the bay area NorCal is north of Santa Rosa to the Oregon border or maybe you mean the Redwood empire so cannot answer until I know where you live.
