I used to think that things work out thru Prayer
But now,I'm a 30-something...and I've been studying this thing called: Unrealistic Optimism vs. Realistic Optimism

Expecting things to just work out (problems & or goals) thru Prayer is like expecting problems&goals to solve themselves!
Prayer has gots to be the Ultimate form of Unrealistic Optimism!
Expecting things to work out thru Prayer is like EXPECTING to get a Loan with No Job,No Credit,No Merchandise/Property to put up for collateral
I'm now Uncertain,....I dont say there IS a God But at the same time,...I dont say that there ISNT a God.
Have u ever ALWAYS Believed something to be true...just about ALL you life,...then you grew up and discovered:It just Wasnt True!

I have always believed in God --- and always will -- Faith is the key

I used to believe. But faith means ignore the world of solid facts. Ask yourself if you know anyone who speaks and writes Greek Hebrew Latin and several other dead languages needed to decider ancient texts. Then realizing almost no person has seen a secondhand copy of a text let alone the non existent originals. It's all a world of faith with no root in reality.

I know God is real. He has performed miracles in my life. My life is so much better with Him. In life, there will be trials and tribulations. But I know that if you are faithful, God will kick the rocks out of the road for you and He can do whats impossible to us. He wants your love and He wants you to trust Him.

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

ok, well i always believed in God - but i believe in God as a manmade concept - meaning i believe that people are right to use it as an excuse to pray & get hope & be thankful & do good things

but as a supernatural force, No.

I think your question may should be "Where do I want to spend Eternity?" Not pointing fingers at you, I just think that is the ultimate question.
