Wow, loaded question for people who don't really know you. Are you good at programing or the mechanical part of computers, etc.? There are a lot of jobs out there that offer good pay for good programers. I know of someone who works for the government from his computer on his living room floor (dealing with security type stuff). Tech schools and community colleges are a good place to get your degree once you know where you want to go. If you are still undecided, talk to an admissions counselor, they can help you narrow down your interests and get you into the right program. That is their job and they will do it gladly.

Good luck.

sounds like you need to go to a career center and take a career test like the myer briggs or something. There are a lot of career fields that pay well, but if you do not find it interesting enough you will not be happy with it, regardless if you have the degree and the job. You need to first take an assessment of yoursellf and determine what your interest are, what type of work environment( alone , or in groups), are ou a self starter or do you need someone to tell you what to do etc. No one can tell you this but yourself.. but the career test might be helpful in making you think about what is and is not important to you

I don't intend to sound mean, but you should improve your writing skills to get admitted into college.

What local schools interest you? Get about 10-20 schools in mind and start looking at their websites for computer science programs. Talk to people in the computer industry and find out what they think of the local programs.

Unless you get into a top school, most degrees are about the same. Few employers will look for a bachelors degree from a specific school; just that you have a degree.
