Take it to a gemnologist. He will tell you straight. A jeweler will try to buy it from you at a lowball price if it has any value. He will tell you it's worthless or of small value, then steer you into trading it for one he has-- at a higher price. Keep your eyes on him...

not as much as you would think. i cant tell you the exact amount, bc i get free diamonds and pearls from my friends.
