First I'm a huge Packer fan so I am speaking in the best interest of the Packers that Brett Favre is the best option at quaterback and if he wants to play let him start because he can sling it just as well as the other quaterbacks in the league. Next year with the offensive line and Greg Jennings with more experience he should be able to get the ball off easier and on the defensive side A.J. Hawk with a year on him and Charles Woodson starting to become his old heisman self they should keep the score lower so all Favre has to do is what he always does and they will win games.

Favre coming back is a good thing and anyone who says Favre sucks is ignorant because he's still got a little something.

Personally, I don't think Arron Rodgers is ready to go just yet, he needs a little more time. Plus, be honest, who really saw the Packers going 8-8 with a shot at the playoffs. The rest of the team is really young and starting to develope. They don't need a new QB, but they do need another target for Favre. This will take pressure off Driver and provide another option for Brett. they should also focus on the O-line in later rounds and maybe try to get a RB from FA>

Bottomline is that he's not only a decent player, but he also is the face of the franchise and no one is ready to take that place. I think eventually Hawk may fulfill that role for defense, but no one on offense can become the face of the franchise.

I think its bad all around. Brett should have gone out a couple years ago as a freakin legend. He can still throw the ball incredibly hard he is just losing accuracy as he ages. For Brett it is probably an ego thing. He thinks he can come back and have a great year and retire back on top of the Green Bay world. I dont see it happening. I expect to see a performance very similar to his performance this year and another smear on his incredible NFL career. The team can't say no to him though. He has been the cornerstone for so many years that it would alienate the fans if he asked to come back and they said no. Bottom line is, he isnt the same guy he was 10 years ago. He has all the heart in the world and an incredibly strong throwing arm. After this many years in the league he just isn't going to be able to make the plays with the same touch we all expect from him.

Favre coming returned is a robust subject and every physique who says Favre sucks is ignorant via fact he remains have been given a splash some thing. for my area, i do no longer think of Arron Rodgers is able to flow only yet, he desires a splash extra time. Plus, be uncomplicated, who rather observed the Packers going 8-8 with a shot on the playoffs. something of the group is quite youthful and beginning as much as develope. they do no longer choose a clean QB, yet they do choose yet another aim for Favre. this might take stress off driver and furnish yet another determination for Brett. they could additionally concentration on the O-line in later rounds and maybe attempt to get a RB from FA> Bottomline is that he's not basically a impressive participant, yet he's likewise the face of the franchise and no person is able to take that place. i think of at last Hawk might fulfill that place for disguise, yet no person on offense can grow to be the face of the franchise.

In a way, it's good for the Packers that he's coming back for another season with the team. In another way, it's bad because he's begining to show his age some & players who are in their late 30's do tend to slow down a bit & their skills seem to be affected afterwards. We'll have to wait & see what happens when the season starts in 6 months.

It is a good thing for next season but a bad thing for the next three seasons after he retires.....Him coming back is hurting rogers chance of getting better and if the packers ever want to make it to the post season its going to be with rogers but now they he's been sitting on the bench an extra two years it will take an extra two years before he's game ready

I think Brett can offer up a lot for the Packers and with a little more support in this draft the Packers can be a sleeper this year.

i think it's good for them now, but will be bad over the long haul...because they have the talent to make the playoffs and the cap room to improve the team, favre can carry this team further than it would have gone if rodgers, who has taken like 3 professional snaps, would have taken over...however, over time the packers will have difficulty developing rodgers as he sits on the sideline during games and gets no reps with the first team in practice...so it depends on how you look at it IMO

I think it is both, Good because you have an experienced leader returning to lead the troops to victory, and he shares his experience with Aaron Rodgers, Bad because we haven't seen Aaron do **** yet and won't until Brett is gone

It's a very good thing. He can still play and winning 8 games last year with that young team is proof. He still has at least one good run left in him.
