Transformation in the real world.
a) Where do you see examples of translation?
b) Where do you see examples of reflection?
c) How are these transformations alike?
d) How can coordinate grids be used to illustrate these differences and similarities?

For b)
I knoe mirror, lake
For c)
I know they are congruent
For d)
I didn't get it

I need you answers. Please help me. I know I don't have all the answers. What do you think?

d) You can show translation with a coordinate system. In your elevator example, put the origin at the bottom of the shaft. Make the Z axis so that increasing height in the shaft is increasing Z.

You can show mirror reflection with a coordinate system. Place the origin so that it sits on the centerline of the image. The X axis runs in the direction which gets transformed (left to right for your bathroom mirror) and the Y direction is perpindicular. Now to translate to a reflected image, multiply all X coordinates by -1 and keep the Y coordinates unchanged.

P.S.: I'm not too sure that your answer to c) is correct, but I don't have a better idea.
