I've tried Norton, McAfee, and AVG. But the one that I found that works best is

superantispyware.com

I use it along with Norton and it finds tracking cookies and trojans that my Norton doesn't pick up.

There are a couple of programs that people recommended. Depends on the money you have or free. Oh btw, your ISP should PROVIDE YOU with Internet Security and Anti-Virus for FREE! Along with online web-space that you can use!

Try some of these...

1) Norton Anti-Virus by Symantec - some money
2) PC-Cillan by TrendMicro - Little bit of money
3) Panda Platinum - Free
4) AVG Antivrius - Free!
5) F-Secure - Free

I use AVG because its free and it does a great job and it does do regular updates. The scans are fast to and thorough.

I've tried all kinds of free antivirus app on my PC and the one i am using rightnow is Avira Antivir PE. You also need to have a hardware firewall (router), software firewall (like ZoneAlarm) and a few antispyware apps ( Spybot S&S,Spyware Blaster,A-Squared Free,Window defender and AdAware PE). This will protected your pc from just about anything. I've also steath all my ports so an internet scanner won't be able to find my pc !!!! Go here http://www.grc.com/default.htm to check to see if your pc is secure and what you need to do.
